Women’s Pullovers

The pullover is perhaps the piece we wear most often between October and March: the one we put on without thinking in the morning and keep on until evening. At Soeur, it is knitted from natural fibres, merino wool above all, and shaped in relaxed, straight or more fitted cuts. Our pullovers and cardigans take you through the whole winter, from a fine pullover slipped under a jacket to a warm pullover that stands alone on the coldest days.

Fall-Winter 2026 Knitwear

In the collection, the women’s wool pullover begins with merino: a fibre that keeps you warm without bulk and can be worn next to the skin. Alongside it, airier knits blend wool with alpaca, while Donegal tweed, flecked with little dots of colour, brings a more rustic texture. The stitches vary from one style to the next, from ribbing and cables to jacquard, but the shades remain within the neutrals that run through the Soeur wardrobe, from ecru to navy. A black pullover remains the simplest piece to wear with anything.

Which jumpers should you wear this winter?

For Fall-Winter 2026, Soeur pullovers favour generous shapes and high necklines, from a stand-up collar to a women’s roll-neck pullover that reaches up to the chin. An oversized women’s pullover in merino wool is worn with high-waisted trousers, while a jacquard or cable-knit style brings texture to an understated outfit. Our oversized jumpers and our wool pullovers bring these cuts together.

How do you choose a wool pullover that doesn’t itch?

Itchiness depends largely on how fine the fibre is. With its very fine fibres, merino wool can be worn directly against the skin without irritating it, making it the choice for Soeur knitwear designed to be worn on its own. More rustic knits, such as Donegal tweed, are better worn over a shirt or a long-sleeved T-shirt.

How do you wash a wool pullover?

Wash a wool pullover in cold or lukewarm water, by hand or on a wool cycle, using a suitable detergent. Rather than wringing it out, press it in a towel to remove the water, then leave it to dry flat so it keeps its shape. Always follow the care instructions on the pullover’s label.

How can you prevent pilling on a pullover?

Pilling forms where fabric rubs, under the arms or against a bag strap. Washing the pullover inside out, avoiding the tumble dryer and leaving it to rest for a day between wears help limit it. If pills do appear, a pullover comb or fabric shaver removes them without damaging the knit.

For a lighter piece, or one that is easier to layer, our sleeveless pullovers and our cardigans extend the collection.
